Community / Schools Projects:
- Proserpine Sate High School – WCL hosts students from the high school at the community nursery site to undertake practical activities associated with native plant production.
- WCL volunteers undertake maintenance & replanting at the Whitsunday Botanic Gardens at Cannonvale Beach foreshore reserve.
- Volunteer events – twice weekly volunteer mornings at the Community Nursery & contribute to the implementation & maintenance of grant funded projects.
- WCL is a Centrelink registered JobSeeker Host.
- Works with other community groups such as Fauna Rescue where possible to enhance the outcomes of independently received grants.
