Community / Schools Projects:

  • Volunteer events – twice weekly volunteer mornings at the Community Nursery & contribute to the implementation & maintenance of grant funded projects.
  • WCL is a Centrelink registered JobSeeker Host.
  • Works with other community groups such as Fauna Rescue where possible to enhance the outcomes of independently received grants.

Community Revegetation Projects:

  • WCL has completed many highly successful revegetation projects around the region
  • At Galbraith Park in Cannonvale, we have carried out revegetation over a 20 year period, much of which has now matured and provides environmental benefits as well as public amenity.
  • A visit is highly recommended for anyone undertaking their own reveg projects – all plants started as seeds collected and propagated locally by WCL volunteers and were planted as standard 50mm tubestock.Aerial image of Galbraith Park showing location of current plantings and information signage
